Everything is an Exception

Just this once.

It’s ok to eat the piece of cake.

It’s ok to skip the gym.

It’s ok to sleep late.

After all, it’s a special event right?

But then next week another event comes along. Maybe even the next day. And what will you do then? Convince yourself that this is just the “exception”.

Sometimes exceptions are good. And it’s beneficial to make them and break our strict habits once in a while. I eat cake once a year (you can guess when that is). But make sure to be clear about what those exceptions are beforehand, not during the event itself

Because then everything will just become an exception, and exceptions will become the norm without you realizing.
